On April 3rd, 2009, Levi Taylor's short film "Way Up North" screened at the Beverly Hills Film Festival and came away with 2 coveted awards – Best Editing and Jury Selected Best Short Film. The success of this festival attracted the interest of industry leaders, who are currently in negotiations with Taylor's production company, Crooked Pictures LLC, about future projects, including the distribution of a feature film and an episodic drama.
In celebration of Alaskan film "Way Up North" winning at 2009 Beverly Hills Film Festival (TWICE) The World Famous Chilkoot Charlie’s will be hosting a POST BEVERLY HILLS FILM FESTIVAL EVENT on Friday May 1st. Doors for the event will open at 7pm; admission is $10.00. The event includes a screening of "Way Up North" including but not limited to a live performance from The Rebuttals (the featured band in the film) and exclusive footage from the Beverly Hills Film Festival Event.
